Favorite Recipes: Mystery Mashed Potatoes


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb baking potatoes
  • 1 t salt
  • ½ c MYSTERY INGREDIENT
  • 20 c popped popcorn
  • 2 T butter
  • ½ c buttermilk

Tools:
  • Large pot
  • Potato masher or electric mixer
  • Colander
  • Large bowl

Directions:
  1. Fill your pot with water.
  2. Peel potatoes and cube. Place them in water right away so they don’t brown.
  3. Add salt to the water and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes, until potatoes are fork tender. Drain well.
  5. Place potatoes in large bowl with remaining ingredients. Mash with mixer or by hand.

*Makes 4 servings
*For WCK classes, this recipe makes enough for 6 servings.
