CrackerJacks Ingredients 1 c butter 2 c brown sugar ½ c corn syrup 1 t salt ½ t baking soda 1 t vanilla 20 c popped popcorn 1 c peanuts, optional Tools 2 baking sheets, medium sauce pan, very large bowl 1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. 2. In sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter. 3. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil. Boil without stirring for 4 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. 5. Add peanuts if using to popcorn in very large bowl. 6. Add the hot mixture in a thin stream to the popcorn, stirring to coat. 7. Place onto baking sheets and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. 8. Cool completely before breaking into pieces.
